Trout
Overview
USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS 2011) reported that more than 800 trout-rearing farms were located in the United States in 2010. Trout sales that year totaled $71.3 million, a decrease of 5 percent from the previous year.
Idaho recorded $34.9 million in trout sales, the highest total of any state, which accounted for 49 percent of U.S. sales. North Carolina ranked second with $6.2 million in trout sales, followed by Pennsylvania with $5.3 million and Arkansas with $5.1 million. (NASS 2011) January 2011 ... Trout
