White Wheat

Overview

Unlike other countries, such as Australia, the United States produces a limited amount of white wheat. Annual production of white wheat has ranged between 220 and 350 million bushels since the 1990s, and every year at least half of the crop is exported.

According to the Economic Research Service, 275.5 million bushels of white wheat were produced in 2010, primarily in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Around 33 percent, or 66 million bushels, of the crop were used for food.  November 2010 ... White Wheat
