Early-released tables for the Agricultural Projections to 2028 were published by USDA November 2, 2018. USDA’s long-term agricultural projections contain a long-run conditional scenario for the next decade based on defined assumptions about the macroeconomy, agricultural and trade policies, the weather, and international events.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) exemptions to small refineries in 2016 and 2017. According to the analysis published by Renewable Fuel Association (RFA) November 20, 2018, the EPA granted 19 RFS exemptions retroactively for the 2016 compliance year and an additional 29 in the 2017 compliance year.
